About the Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in Urmston. Working closely with teachers and pupils, you will play a key role in supporting learning, promoting inclusion, and creating a positive classroom environment.

Working Pattern: Three days a week between Mon to Fri, Term Time

Salary: Up to £12.21 per hour

Start Date: Nov 2025

 
Your responsibilities will include:
 
  • Establishing rapport and positive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  • Providing tailored support to pupils, including those with additional needs, to ensure access to learning.
  • Supervising pupils and ensuring their safety, welfare, and personal care needs are met.
  • Promoting inclusion, teamwork, and participation in classroom activities.
  • Encouraging pupils’ independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
  • Supporting teaching staff by preparing resources, evaluating learning, and providing feedback on pupil progress in line with school policy.
  • Liaising with teachers, parents, and external agencies where appropriate.
  • Occasionally providing cover supervision for the teacher when required.
