Science week went off with a bang!

Year 4 have thoroughly enjoyed their science focus week.  It was wonderful to see them engaging so enthusiastically in all the activities.  Working in groups during  both the Robotics and Cargo Drop sessions they let their creative juices flow to solve the challenges put to them.

In Robotics they had to create a robot and think about how to balance and support the weight of a motor and a sensor as it moved forward.

In the Cargo Drop session, the children were tasked to get aid to a remote village cut off by road.  They had to design and make a model of a solution to protect cargo being dropped from a height to ensure it landed undamaged.  A huge thank you to Eva’s mum for giving up her time to deliver this brilliant activity.

There are definite signs of budding scientists and engineers.
