At Abbotsford, we recognise that every child develops at their own pace, which is why our transition into school is tailored to each individual. Children moving into Pre-Prep enjoy regular visits to the main school, spend time in their new classroom and get to know their future teachers well before their first day, helping them feel confident and excited about the next stage of their education.
For children who are not yet ready to move into Pre-Prep, our Preschool class within Little Gems Nursery provides an additional year of learning in a familiar, nurturing environment. This allows every child to develop the confidence, independence and school readiness they need before taking the next step. Whichever pathway is right for your child, they are supported every step of the way by staff who know them well, ensuring a smooth and successful transition into school.
