Year 3 & 4 visit to Chester

Years three and four enjoyed a sunny trip to Chester on Friday to visit the Dewa Experience. We were greeted by Roman Centurions who equipped the children with shields for protection and took us on a march to key places of interest around Chester. We stopped at the Roman Gardens where we learned how to form an impenetrable formation to fend off the Celts. We then "celebrated" the victory at the Roman Amphitheatre in the traditional fashion-a gladiator battle fought by the teachers!

Back at the museum, we stepped back in in time to experience Chester as it was in Roman times. We observed Roman artefacts, wore Roman clothing and learned about how they would have lived. We decided that modern day living is preferable overall!
