Adventures and education await on Abbotsford School trips
Exciting and educational school trips are a part of life at Abbotsford. Your child will have the opportunity to learn different things by visiting places of interest and partaking in extra-curricular activities and school clubs.
On school trips children experience culture, nature and history first-hand through visits to places such as The Lowry Centre and The Opera House. At nearby Dunham and Bramall Halls, they learn how people lived in times gone by and visits to Chester provide excellent educational opportunities about the Romans. There are also trips to BBC Manchester to show pupils with an interest in music and drama how a studio works and visits to The Museum of Science and Industry and the Manchester Museum help bring lessons alive. A highlight of your child's school year may be that through Years Three to Six, they have the opportunity to go on residential visits to outdoor adventure centres.
School clubs include art, football, gymnastics, taekwondo, table tennis and drama so there’s plenty for your child to get involved in. Please speak to the office for more details but there are breakfast, lunch and after school clubs that provide a safe and fun environment for all children.
