Pre School travel the world!

Another busy week for Pre-School class. Continuing our theme, "Around the World," this week we have been "visiting" Antarctica!

We have been looking closely at ice and describing it's properties and we discovered that salt helps ice to melt more quickly. We have been looking at penguins, completing a jigsaw that showed us how special they are, and we used cubes to measure pictures of them. In Literacy lessons we played "Polar I spy" to practise recognising initial sounds, blending and segmenting. In Maths lessons we made a block graph from a picture of polar animals and we have been practising recognising and continuing a pattern. But the best part of this week must have been our "Food of the week" - what else could it be, but ice-cream! Next week we look forward to "visiting" India and Pakistan.
