Pastoral Care

A caring school community

The pastoral care provided runs throughout the school and is part of our ethos. We take great pride in the relationships we have with our children and their families. Everyone is part of the Abbotsford family and we work together to achieve the same goal of happiness and success.

To help the older children develop a sense of responsibility, Year Six pupils act as Class Monitors to the younger ones. This also enables the younger children to form an attachment to the older pupils and gives the school a supportive, family atmosphere.

Help is at hand you for too! We understand that our parents have busy lives so wrap around care is provided for those who need it. It starts with breakfast club, which is open from 7:45am every day. At 8:30am, the children take part in Wake-up, Shake-up, or Computer Club and after school care is open Monday to Friday between 3:30pm and 6pm with many school clubs available.
