Culture

A diverse and happy school culture

The aim is to promote a school culture where we celebrate success. Your child will feel valued and confident at school, and so will grow up as a successful learner with pride in what they achieve at Abbotsford. Children learn about different cultures so they are appreciative of the world around them. They are taught about British traditions and culture and also enjoy celebrations such as Diwali, Eid, Chinese New Year and Christmas to promote tolerance and understanding at an early age.

The latest Ofsted inspection stated: “Pupils’ cultural development is excellent. They learn to understand and respect other faiths and cultures during R.E. lessons and by visiting places of worship such as the local synagogue and mosque.

“Harmonious relationships between pupils from different cultures and faiths are evident in the school.” Ofsted Inspection, 2014.
